This boardroom table measures a substantial 2.5m long by 1.6m wide with a 2 inch thick solid English oak top . For the design, my clients a rail infrastructure consultancy wanted a table that reflects the industry they work within. I designed and had fabricated a robust steel table frame, and the knots and splits in the top were enhanced by filling with metallic resin. A satin hard wax oil was used to finish the top and beautifully highlights the oaks grain. We also designed and made the bespoke storage which compliments the table and space.
