Loft Bedroom Storage Solutions-fitted wardrobe &drawers Joinery & Cabinet Making When my previous carpenter disappointed us by not delivering on his word, Ian stepped in and in extremely short notice (two or so weeks from first contact) designed built and fit a bespoke birch plywood wardrobe for a slanted ceiling loft bedroom. He took the time in our initial meeting to figure out exactly what we wanted, then took our sketch and provided a computer design. The finish is top quality, the drawers all work perfectly, very happy with the results. He was very professional and also really likeable, so one didn’t feel put out by him being there. Bookshelves Carpentry Ian made two huge bookshelves for me from reclaimed scaffolding boards and I’m extremely happy with the result. Ian is not only “a carpenter”, he’s a furniture maker with a real vision and an artistic vein. The design process was very constructive and indeed exciting: I had my own initial concept that he made a plan of on the computer, and then we discussed it in detail on site. He didn’t mind travelling (twice!) from Bristol to Bath for consultations and measurements. He is most reliable, he was always on time, returned every call, replied to all messages and he also listened carefully (e.g. I asked him to sand the boards deep and he dyed the wood the exact colour I wanted). And to top it all off, all these services came at a very competitive price. Last but not least, Ian is a very friendly and nice chap, a real pleasure to work with.
